A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.

Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.

Acció participativa sobre la font de la Plaça de la Vila

#fontplvilasf Decidim junts el futur de la font

About this process

The centre of Sant Feliu de Llobregat will experience a full renewal with the redevelopment of Plaça de la Vila and the streets Església, Rectoria, Pou de Sant Pere, and Passatge Penedès. The works will begin in January and will give this emblematic area of Sant Feliu a new look, featuring new paving, the relocation of the sculpture group The Heart of Trees, and improved lighting and vegetation. Citizens will also have the opportunity to decide whether Plaça de la Vila should include a fountain.

As part of this redevelopment, the City Council is promoting a participatory initiative regarding the fountain in Plaça de la Vila. A survey will be carried out, starting with a question asking whether residents wish to install a fountain. If the answer is yes, participants will then choose between three proposed designs.
